Co-author Edward Theriot adds, about that suspicion:
And rightfully so. I checked. None of those people are who or what they say they are, much less where they are supposed to be. Come to think of it, even when Earle was at the Academy, he was rarely where he was supposed to be. The Theriot guy, of course, was not even at the Academy when he was at the Academy since he was at Yellowstone National Park much of the time. In fact, altitude sickness had a LOT to do with the original construction of the experimental design behind this infamous work. As for Bogan, well, the guy studies clams, for God’s sake.
